So I booked a room in Hakuba in Nagano on a whim(21st-23rd nov), saw a video on social media and didn't think too much off it… Yeah I know it is not the smartest thing to do maybe without checking other things first. One of the things I was thinking of doing there was to go up to the mountain harbor deck and see the mountains from there. But I didn't realize that apparently it is closed from November 16th till the winter season starts in mid December. I would need recommendations on other activities to do in the area around these dates. This is my 2nd trip to Japan.
I was primary going to be in and around the Tokyo area for the whole trip but I saw this video and thought the place looked really scenic. So I booked a weekend without thinking. But I didn't realize I am coming in between green and winter season so a lot of activities seems to be closed. I can't cancel the hotel room without losing the money now either. I was really looking forward to see the mountain tops from Iwatake. Maybe it is still possible to go up Iwatake and see it just not on the deck?
