Hi!
I‘m heading to Japan for the first time next spring and I‘m struggling with planning my route. Generally, I like more slow-paced travelling with as few hotel changes as possible. Also, I‘m worried that the train rides between the spots might be stressful (especially with the luggage) and steal too much time. At the same time, I want to see so many things, it‘s hard to decide what to leave out.
We fly to Narita airport in Tokyo, and the idea is to start our trip in Kyoto. Our plan so far:
Day 1-6: Kyoto (with day trips to Nara and Uji)
Day 6-7: Koyasan (stay in a temple overnight)
Day 7-9: Osaka
Day 9-13: Takayama
Day 13-15: Fujikawaguchiko
Day 15-20: Tokyo
Do you think this is reasonable? Or is it too ambituous/stressful? Any suggestions?
Thanks!
