UK healthcare fund gone bankrupt

Has anyone invested in Montreux Healthcare Fund PLC ? (represented in Tokyo by Banner financial advisors)

The fund invested in elderly care homes in the UK, and was stable and growing from 2015 to 2022. When my Tokyo advisor first suggested investing in 2015, I asked him if it was high risk (which I wanted to avoid). He told me it was "medium" or "quite low" risk and that it was guaranteed ("underwritten") by the "local authorities" in the UK. Unfortunately, I took him at his word and invested quite a big sum.

The fund was suddenly frozen for new investments and payouts in 2022, and this year the British fund mangers and Banner told me the fund is now bankrupt. They gave excuses about UK interest rates and unstable UK government in 2022 (Truss), but it seems the fund managers were just gambling in some high stakes property games. Banner says there may have been fraud but nothing has been proved yet and it is nothing to do with him. There is no guarantee, in spite of what he wrote in 2015.

I guess this was my mistake for trusting my advisor and for thinking the UK was a safe country for investing. I doubt the 消費者庁 here would do anything since it is an overseas investment.
