Hello!! I have been using this reddit page so much to start planning our honeymoon trip! So big thanks to everyone for contributing! This is my first rough draft of our itinerary, nothing is set in stone except our flight, I would just like to know everyone's opinion plus any suggestions! We are huge anime fans and love theme parks so those are musts for us. We are leaving early April 2026 (its gonna be busy I know ðŸ˜). Thank you!!!
Osaka
Day 1:
• Arrive to Osaka (KIX)
• Go to hotel and find dinner nearby
Day 2:
• Osaka Castle (not going inside)
• Osaka Museum of History
• Figure museum??
• Dotonbori (boat ride!)
Day 3: Universal studios
Day 4: Nara!
Kyoto
Day 5:
• Osaka Aquarium at opening
• After travel to Kyoto
• Samurai Ninja Museum kyoto
Day 6:
• Rent kimonos and go to a photoshoot session in Arashiyama (10a, 1.5 hours long, including Togetsukyo bridge, Bamboo grove, Kimono forest, Tenryu-ji temple)
• Continue to explore Arashiyama after (maybe the monkey park)
• Golden pavilion
Day 7:
• Philosopher's Path 6-7am
• Kaege Incline Route (including Tenjuan and Nanzenji Temple)
• Nishiki Market
Hakone:
Day 8: Hakone & Roykan stay
Kawaguchiko:
Day 9:
• Chureito Pagoda
• Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway
• Possible EBike around the Lake
Day 10: FujiQ Highland!
Tokyo
Day 11:
• Travel to Tokyo
• Asakusa & Senso-ji Temple (plus nearby streets)
• Nice sushi restaurant experience
Day 12: Shibuya!
• Meiji Junju
• Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
• Shibuya Sky @ Sunset (see Hachiko)
• Omoide yokocho
Day 13:
• Teamlabs Borderless
• Tsukiji Fish Market
• Akihabara
Day 14: DisneySea!
Day 15:
• Flight leaves at 9pm so do anything I missed out on!
