Curious to know why a lot of people have been snapping photos of these telephone booths in Kanda

Over the course of the past week++, we saw a number of people taking photos of the telephone booths around Kanda, which have flowers in them as per photo above. Simply wondering if there are any significant reasons to it, or people are just intrigued to see flowers in phone booths.

  3. It has most likely to do with the release of the very popular Chainsaw Man movie recently which has an important scene with the two main characters involving a telephone boot and a flower similar to the ones in the picture

  15. I see everyone mentioning Anime, I don’t know anything about anime or that. But, in my city, they are removing these left and right, I guess because everyone has cellphone nowadays…. If not because of the anime, then maybe because they may be gone soon?

  17. This is where Reze and Denji met for the first time.

    It was raining and Denji rushed into a phone booth, and Reze rushed in moments later to avoid the rain. Denji performed a magic trick, and well, you should go watch the movie because it was absolutely dope. Loved every second of it!

  18. Chainsaw Man Movie is a spectacle for the eyes whether you watch the anime or not. It’s truly stunning, and better than Demon Slayer for sure

  20. It’s called peak media, chainsaw man reze arc movie aired and features irl locations. There’ll even be some flowers and things in a staircase somewhere close by

  21. It seems its for chainsawman movie, but in all honesty, if you have been consuming old Japanese media, you definitely want at least a photo of those telephone booths while they last.

  23. Interesting. I am visiting Japan now and I took a few phone photos but that’s because the postpones here still exist and they’re huge and green. Ours are all but non existent where I live…. I got a find this anime that shows this scene now.

  25. Recentely released Chainsawman movie, which is quite famous atm, has a scene in a telephone booth.
    Bonus points, some fans of the game Ghostwire Tokyo also take pics of those as they play a role in the gameplay
