Hi all,
I'd like to get some advice about the best path to working in Japan, considering my situation.
A bit of background first:
I'm an Italian living in the UK for the past 10 years. I moved here in Year 10, finished secondary school/sixth form, and I'm now about to finish my BSc in CS, graduating in April. My original plan was to continue with a Master's Degree, but I'm honestly unsure about what to do after that.
I really want to go and live in Japan, since I've visited before and loved it. I know that visiting a country is not the same as actually living and working there, but i'd like to try and find out whether it's right for me or not.
What i'm unsure about is the best route to take.
- Should I do my master in the uk and then try to find a tech job in Japan?
- Or do my master and find any job just to get me there?
- Another thought was to either skip the Master for now and try to get any job in Japan first, even if not in tech
- Also, would teaching English even be an option for me, considering my situation? I'm not a native speaker, but I've been studying in the UK for a decade now.
Hope to hear from anyone who has gone through a similar situation or who knows which of these options is 'best' in your opinion.
Thank you all!!
