Hello, Im planning on moving to Japan for 2 years under the Canadian working holiday visa. So far, everything is not too confusing except for insurance… it seems like I need to arrange it before I leave, or at least pretty soon after I get there. Any previous experience or pointers towards providers or companies to avoid would be appreciated.
This is the only info I could find on the embassy page…
- It is recommended that insurance coverage be arranged before leaving Canada, as stipulated under the conditions of employment for the Working Holiday Visa. The period of employment in Japan is usually not long enough to qualify for coverage provided by the employers or companies.
