Without going into too much detail, I will be moving to the Yokosuka area next month and will be getting private insurance. I have not had time to plan for this and am doing tons of research, but want advice from real people with real experiences.
I only see one PCP for my physical medical issues, my rheumatologist, out here, who handles dysautonomia (not very symptomatic anymore – used to go to Mayo), multiple rheumatological issues, and other comorbidities that are not severe or under control.
BASICALLY:
I will need a GREAT rheumatologist, possibly a PCP – if the rheumatologist won't be my PCP who speaks English.
The real kicker is I will need the BEST IBD or GI specialist for severe pancolitis – in remission.
Would anyone be able to advise on private insurance as a non-resident who will be there for 2 years?
Are there any fantastic doctors who speak English in the following fields you reccomend as well?
Otolaryngologist (ENT), pulmonologist, cardiologist, autonomic specialist (I doubt this), neurologist, podiatrist, OBGYN, psychiatrist – that is a whole other issue – I take ADHD medicine for ADHD and POTS.
I am in a hurry. Any help would be fantastic!!!
