Hi, I am a software engineer from India with around 9+ years of experience, and I’ve got an offer of about ¥11 million in Tokyo. I will be moving with my spouse in Jan 2026.
I wanted to check a couple of things:
- Is ¥11M considered a decent salary for someone with my experience?
- My office will be near Hatsudai station. For people working around that area, which neighborhoods are good to stay in? I’m open to living a bit away if it makes the commute easier or the rent more reasonable.
- What kind of monthly rent should I expect for a decent 1LDK/2LDK for two people?
- How much monthly in-hand salary can i expect after all deductions
