Going for a hike to mount daimonji (大文字山) on weekend would be dangerous?

Hey folks, I live in Osaka and want to go for a day trip to Kyoto.
Would you rather go on a hike with a friend next weekend or instead have some other recommendations because of danger from the bear? Would love to see Kyoto from a quite and high point.
