Hypothetical Loophole for Recent Grads to Not Pay Nenkin While Waiting for April

Some background points:

  1. Scenario focuses on international students who graduated September and changed their visa to a special designated activities visa (SDA) while waiting for their work to start in April (for whatever reason).
  2. They work within the legal 28 hours permitted to students and SDA visa holders.

Based on several online websites, it seems that (given that all the following requirements are fulfilled) if you work at a specific establishment for more than 20+ hours per week in that establishment, get more than 88,000 yen monthly, are an international student, and plan to work in that establishment for more than 2 months, you have to join their company insurance, which even at the minimum, you need to pay around 30,000 yen.

Apparently, if you decide to work 19 hours only in said establishment, and fill out the remaining hours in another place, you are not obligated to join any company insurance, and can individually pay for national health insurance(considerably less than the 会社保険) . In addition, you are also able to be exempt from paying nenkin if you apply for it, something that is not possible if you are in the company insurance.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this loophole?

edit: Previous post was removed due to mixing languages, but someone made a comment about how when you work over the specified hours you generally need to be enrolled in shakai hoken and that my 30,000 yen estimate is off. In reply, here are my two points:

  1. No idea whether specified hours is pointing towards the legal 28 hour limit or the proposed 19 hour border to hypothetically avoid having to join company insurance.

  2. Failed to mentioned in the previous post, but the 30,000 yen tax is for people who work the 28 hour legal limit and get paid 1200-1400 yen per hour. Sorry about the confusion.
