Areas from northern to eastern Japan see snow as cold weather sets in

A winter pressure pattern and a strong cold air mass are bringing intermittent snow showers to areas from northern to eastern Japan, mainly along the Sea of Japan coast. Many parts of Japan have been experiencing severely cold weather since early on Wednesday.
