I was shopping in a supermarket where a car who tried to park hit the accelerator instead of brakes. He hit the wall that broke in, inturn causing the refrigerator to move and I was severely hit by the lower part of the refrigerator. Initially I thought it was an earthquake and tried to move only then realized the pain and just sat down. It was a Sunday, took 2 hours to get to a hospital. Xray was taken and no problem in bone and was sent home. After a couple of days went back to the hospital with pain and asked for crutches. After a week went back to the hospital with pain and took MRI. Now they say it is a fracture. This was reported to police and the driver's insurance is calling me everyday. Doctor has advised bedrest for a month and since I'm living alone it would be difficult for me to survive. If I return to my country, how would the insurance work. They have sent me a bunch of documents asking me to send actual receipts of expenses. Along with rehab my doctor takes it would take a couple of months to recover. What should I do?
