I will attend a language school in Japan from July 2026 and I want to aim for the University of Tokyo / Kyoto University. Please give me some advice.

Hello.
I plan to study abroad in Japan from July 2026, attend a language school for about 1 year and 9 months, and then apply to top universities such as
The University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Osaka University, Nagoya University, Waseda, and Keio,
where I hope to major in business-related fields such as management, accounting, finance, or economics.

I am currently a high school graduated student in the business stream and I do not study science subjects.I want to start preparing as early as possible, but I couldn’t find clear information on YouTube or websites, so I decided to ask here.

(1) What should I start studying now?
I understand that Japanese learning is the top priority, but besides Japanese, I’d like to know what else I should prepare.
*Should I start studying mathematics now?
If yes, which areas should I focus on?

(2) What are the entrance exams like for business programs?

I heard that international students are required to take the EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students).

Here is what I want to know:
*For business majors, which EJU subjects are required?

*What does the exam format look like?

*What are the exact topics (syllabus) for Mathematics Course 1 and General Studies?

Do top universities such as the University of Tokyo and Kyoto University also have their own entrance exams? And if they have,, what are the subjects for business studies students?.

(3) Are there recommended textbooks or study methods?
I want to prepare well before going to Japan, so please let me know if you have recommendations for any of the following:
*EJU Mathematics Course 1/2 (what I need)
*EJU General Studies
*Interview and essay preparation

I would really appreciate any advice, tips, or study resources from people who have experience or are currently studying at university.

Thank you very much.
