Really want a start over in life and have been thinking about moving to Japan for years but fear my background will prevent it.

Good morning everyone I'm honestly just looking for resources, advice or tips on how someone like myself with a not so good background and few felonies can go about getting all the necessary paper work to be able to actually live in Japan. I've tried to do some research myself but either hit a wall or get the run around. I do know because of how long it's been since the date of my case I'm clear on almost everything and my work history, resume and interests looking and obtaining work would not be an issue. I just would like to know more about Visa types, best websites or companies to look up for employment ect. Thank you for you time and is appreciate any information.
