I’m a taxi driver in Osaka.

I'm often asked what my most recommended restaurant is, but the quality of restaurants in Japan is generally high, so even a random restaurant you just pop into is delicious! Also, Kuromon Market is a market for foreigners, so the prices are really high! Locals don't go there lol

  1. Is there a shotengai you would recommend, with better prices? Also if I was interested in becoming a taxi driver where should I start?

  2. I’m a Japanese person living in Osaka. I’m using a translation app to speak English, so I apologize if the grammar is strange!

  3. Hello 運転手さん. When I lived in Osaka, around 2010, there was a taxi driver who drove with some kind of parrot or wild bird. When he was parked or driving slow, he would let the bird sit on his roof. Have you seen this person?

  5. I loved every taxi ride I’ve had in Osaka. I hope you love your job as much and I love using your service.

  6. Quality of restaurants high everywhere definitely not true, especially in touristic areas. It’s not that easy to find a decent store, especially for sushi..

  7. Are you ever worried about your favorite restaurants becoming popular with tourists and becoming hard for you to eat there?

  8. There is a ramen shop at the very end of Yotsubashi dori called Osaka Ramen. Best gyoza and Tonkotsu ramen in the city imho. I also like Udon Shikoku in Namba Walks near OCAT exit. First time was 25 years ago. The combo udon katsudon has almost the same prices as in the old days.

  9. Any suggestions not touristy like Kuroman Market we where we can find various goods ? This is our 4 trip back in 4 years

  10. We normally just end up eating in one of the tourist restaurants since it’s at the tourist location lol but I would wander off and find a random place to eat next time.
