  3. Confused by this example sentence I found:

    論文をきちんとチェックしてからでないと低い点を受けるよ。

    Everything else I’ve read indicates the second part of the sentence should be negative. So wouldn’t you say “高い点をうけません”? Or am I misunderstanding and it means negative as in “not the ideal outcome” and not just なになにません/ない”?

  5. I started the N3 Reading 新完全マスター book and I’m already feeling very frustrated and discouraged. The section with kango and wago is asking to translate kango words to wago and vice versa. But I haven’t learned any of that despite passing N4. Was I supposed to? The first exercise isn’t too hard because you can just match the kanji. But how am I supposed to translate the words from nothing? Does the book just expect me to look up the answers? I might as well just look them up in the answer key in the back of the book then. I’m not sure how I am supposed to be studying this.
