No additional costs when moving out of apartment

I noticed on this and other subs that there were many posts proliferating a fear of excessive moving out costs for minor damage or wear of an apartment. However I think the reality is people post when things go south but not when things are fine which unrealistically portrays a high probability online of there being high additional costs for repair when moving out. Hence as a counterpoint I have made this post and hope other comment their own experiences to illutstrate that getting hit with high moving out costs is unlikely.

I have so far moved out twice from an apartment within the initial 2 year contract and both times I did not have to pay any additional costs for wear and tear, even recieved partial payback for one apartment.

In both cases I did a thorough cleaning of the apartment and tried my best to fix any scratches on the floorboards or wall stains with the floorboard crayons and paint pens respectively.

I think if you are moving out in the future, worried about high costs and find this post, just do your best to clean and fix small wear and tear issues with stuff from Hands or Loft and youll be fine in most cases. Good luck!
