Hello guys, I am currently a junior in high school 17 (in USA) and don't know my major yet and wanted to ask what steps I could take to study abroad in Japan with a scholarship, Ive wanted to travel for a while now and I decided I wanted to study abroad in Japan and see what it is like before I make a big decision like moving there or other decisions that I cant really control right now. I just wanted to ask what I can do right now and what steps I can take from people who have done it personally. Thanks.

Study abroad or apply as a regular undergrad student at a university? Those are 2 very different things.
Study abroad is easy. You apply through your US school and you go for 1 semester or 1 year. Scholarships depend on your grades and possibly your financial situation.
If you want to study for undergrad, its more difficult. The easiest way is to apply to one of the all-English speaking departments some universities offer, like at Keio or Sophia. Back in the day, they practically accepted anyone who could speak English fluently. I’m not sure what the requirements are like now.
You can also apply for Temple University, but I don’t recommend it. Going there will make things a bit difficult when you start job hunting.
