If somebody can help me I would be really grateful. I submitted my year-end adjustment (年末調整）this month. My company is providing all data thru online portal. I had to change my address (I'm moved to separate apartment) and that was it. Company deadline was in the beginning of the month and I did everything on time.
I'm thinking about timing of submitting my divorce papers. He wrote his part, signed it and left me to do the rest by myself. I hate him for avoiding responsibility again, but to be honest he made my decision easier. I can take the document to the city ward anytime.
My friend said I should wait till end of the year, because of the tax adjustments. If I finalize the divorce after 1 Jan, I don't need to redo my tax adjustment and everything will be changed in next documents. But year-end tax adjustment deadline is January 31 st. I heard some advice to wait after January 31 as well. Should I wait till February then?
