I’ve recently moved to Japan.
In my previous country, I collected, and worked on classic race cars. Hoping to do the same in Japan.
As you would expect, these cars are extremely loud.
Where would you choose to live in proximity to Tokyo if you wanted:
- A garage that could house 6 cars and tools
- To be far enough away from neighbours such that you wouldn’t cause a community melt down every time you fire up an engine
- To be within 1.5 hrs commute of Haneda or Narita (edited from drive to commute)
- Near enough to a reasonable selection of restaurant, parks, shopping options (edited this last condition to be less restrictive)
So far I’ve been looking at 4000sqm ish plots of land in Saitama and Ibaraki that have garages, with the size of the land hopefully creating a sound buffer to neighbours. The other option is to just accept that this is too difficult to achieve and just rent a separate warehouse to store and work on the cars. Thoughts?
