I’m currently trying to get the process to get my Japanese license and I’m hoping for some help with my documents proving my American license. I’m getting a lot of mixed information about what documents will validate my residence. I have a punched and invalid license from one state and my current license from another. I changed my license from one state to another in February. I took a trip to Japan for two weeks from April-May and my passport wasn’t stamped when I returned so I basically have no proof that I lived and drove in America for three months straight since my lack of ha passport stamp trumps the six months of pay stubs I provided. I provided transcripts from the state my invalid license is from, but they are watermarked with “COPY.” It’s pricey and takes some time for me to get physical copies of my transcripts to be sent to me now. Is that my only option at this point?
TLDR: are transcripts my only way of proving my residence in America with a license?
