Senior Infrastructure Engineer (8 YOE) – Strategy for finding English-only Data Center/Support roles from overseas?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently an IT Infrastructure Engineer based in China with about 8 years of experience (mostly Linux, hardware troubleshooting, and Data Center ops).

My English is fluent enough for work, but my Japanese is basically zero. I've started applying to some global companies like AWS and HCL, but I'm getting a bit anxious about the language barrier.

Just wanted a reality check from people working in Tokyo:
Is it still possible to land a Senior Support/Infra role without Japanese? And what would be a fair salary to ask for (I was thinking around 6M JPY)?

Any advice on recruiters or companies to target would be super helpful. Thanks!
