I’m planning a short-term move to Tokyo (about 2–3 months) and I’m trying to get a realistic idea of how much a furnished studio apartment usually costs.

For anyone currently in Tokyo or who has rented recently:

• What’s the average monthly rent for a furnished studio?
• How much does it vary depending on the area (Shinjuku/Shibuya vs. more residential wards like Edogawa, Nerima, etc.)?
• Are 1–3 month leases noticeably more expensive than standard long-term rentals?
