[Spoilers] World Tag League 2025: Night Six (11/28) – B Block

Wolf watch: absent

Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi def Daiki Nagai, Drilla Moloney, Shingo Takagi — (4:23, Last Testament)

  • The House strike during the very last entrance of the group (Shingo’s). Yuj keeps Drilla in the ring to start.

  • HoT Shenanigans level: mild.

  • Post match, HoT attack Drilla and Shingo for a minute or two. Chase uses the branding iron, which looks as goofy in action as you’d imagine.

  • Drilla and Shingo commiserate as they leave.

Dick Togo, Don Fale, EVIL def Masatora Yasuda, Satoshi Kojima, Taichi — (5:28, Lariat)

  • Yasuda either forgot his newly-earned kneepads or has somehow un-earned them. His left knee is still taped up

  • This time HoT wait until the entrances are over and they get their toke taunt in before attacking. Fale keeps Taichi in the ring.

  • HoT Shenanigans level: mild

  • Post match, EVIL goes to put Yasuda in the Scorpion Deathlock but is chased out of the ring by Kojima and Taichi. EVIL HA HA HAs and the victorious House leave.

  • Taichi and Kojima linger a moment, on opposite sides of the ring, before leaving.

Shoma Kato, Shuji Ishikawa, El Desperado def Tatsuya Matsumoto, Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto) — (5:02, Pinche Loco)

  • Despe and YH choose to start. Despe’s back is finally sans tape.

  • This was fine.

  • Post match, from in the ring Despe and Shuji have a brief staredown with Bishamon at ringside.

  • In his Backstage Comments Kato, as have many of his peers in the past month or so, brings up the idea of a Young Lion Cup.

Gedo, Gabe Kidd, Yota Tsuji def Katsuya Murashima, Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano — (9:14, O-KNEE)

  • Back to bomber Tsuji but I guess that’s okay for undercard matches.

  • Boltin’s two current problematic right joints are taped up.

  • Yano calls out Gabe, who turns to his teammates to affirm he’ll start. When Gabe turns around, Boltin and Yano leave Murashima in the ring to start.

  • Gabe sees it’s Murashima and decides he’s not interested, so tags in Gedo. Yano then is totally fine with tagging in to finally start the action.

  • One step up from “This was fine” because Boltin and Tsuji worked notably well together.

  • During the finish, Gabe absolutely started standing up at 2.98 so technically the pin shouldn’t have counted.

  • Post match, Oleg gets up on the apron to briefly talk shit with Gabe. Tsuji carries around the turnbuckle pad Yano had removed while he and his team celebrate.

WTL 2025 B Block: Monster Sauce (Alex Zayne, Lance Archer) (2 points) def Hiromu Takahashi, David Finlay[w/Gedo] (2 points) (point totals prior to today’s results) — (9:01, Blackout Sauce)

  • Finlay and Hiromu are still not getting along, and it’s still Finlay’s ego’s fault.

  • Finlay and Zayne talk a little trash while getting ready, but then Hiromu steps up and calls out Archer. Finlay is more than happy to oblige, and so Hiromu and Archer start…

  • …for one second, before Hiromu tags Finlay on the shoulder, leaves the ring, and starts running up the ramp. He smugly starts a “let’s go Finlay” chant.

  • I wonder how quickly Zayne could lose enough weight to try and get a GHC Junior title shot?

  • Post match, Archer taunts Finlay on the outside for a moment. Eventually Hiromu is helped out of the ring by YL, and Gedo helps him to the back as Finlay is annoyed.

  • Next Block Matches (30th): Monster Sauce vs Shota/Yuya, Fin/Hiromu vs Ren/SANADA

WTL 2025 B Block: Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan[w/JAY] (2 points) def Yuya Uemura, Shota Umino (2 points) — (15:18, Excalibur [double stomp to the back of a kneeling opponent])

  • Yuya briefly gets in Callum’s face as he makes his entrance.

  • Post entrances, Callum talks a little shit to Yuya and they both decide to start.

  • This was quite good. The venue audio is badly mixed (at least on the English feed) and that did hurt it a little. UE continue to cement themselves as heels.

  • Post match, Callum and GOK stand on Shota’s chest as they get their hands raised. JAY then comes in and pours water on/in Shota.

  • Meanwhile a YL has already started helping Yuya out. Two others help Shota out of the ring and to the back.

  • Next Block Matches: Callum/GOK vs K.O.B, Shota/Yuya vs Monster Sauce

WTL 2025 B Block: SANADA[beach day version], Ren Narita (2 points) def Ryohei Oiwa, Zack Sabre Jr.[w/Hartley Jackson] (4 points) — (14:04, Hell’s Guillotine)

  • Zack and Oiwa stop right outside the curtain to take off their jackets and run in to try and beat HoT at their own game. Oiwa and Ren stay in the ring.

  • HoT Shenanigans level: mild… until the very end when it’s a ref bump and the entire rest out the House (who were on the card) except Dick come out to interfere. Hartley tries, but isn’t enough to overcome the numbers.

  • Before that ending stretch, this was a pretty good match. Zack always makes Ren and SANADA actually wrestle.

  • Post match, the excess Torturers get on the apron to applaud their stablemates, then come in for a celebratory toke taunt.

  • Next Block Matches: Ren/SANADA vs Fin/Hiromu, ZSJ/Oiwa vs Tana/ELP

WTL 2025 B Block: Knock Out Brothers (OSKAR, Yuto-Ice) (0 points) def El Phantasmo, Hiroshi Tanahashi (0 points) — (16:43, Cruella)

  • Still no Jado. Another match against Bullet Club. Out next show will tell us if this is a purposeful pattern or not (Jado is not scheduled to be their undercard tag partner on that show).

  • Post entrances, Yuto steps up to Tana quickly. After a minute he shoves Tana, then ELP and OSKAR step up and quarrel a little.

  • They all separate and Tana decides to start, meaning Yuto starts.

  • Bomboclaat level: 2.5

  • Very good match. OSKAR and ELP knew what the feature was here (Yuto getting his win over Tana) and were generally just a complement to that.

  • Victory promo from Yuto: [to a still KOed Tana] “Hey Ace, we won this fight! You remember what you said in Anjo? Thanks for coming to NJPW. How about now, huh? I used to be nothing but a street thug. But I owe you, because you and pro-wrestling saved my life.”

“You're wrestling someone from another company in your retirement match? I don't know what you're thinking, but you had better win. I don't know if we'll have another time, but if we do I'll get you high.” [Tana leaves with ELP’s help]

“I said before, guys like me won't ever be a sun, but we can still be at the top. We can do it, and you know why, because OSKAR is always beside me. We won't be a sun but we can be a spark. Anybody who wants to get high, you know where to come. Everything from here, we're not losing and you can feel it! Let's get high- BIG UP!” [Again you’re getting the official Chris Twitter translation here, which is not complete. Watch the subbed video when it comes out for a more complete version.]

  • Next Block Matches: K.O.B vs Callum/GOK, Tana/ELP vs ZSJ/Oiwa
