  1. There’s been an increase in the number of foreign workers from about 1.6mil to 2.3 million and an increase in workplace accidents from 4000 to 6000 (2020-2025).

As a ratio of overall foreigner accidents it’s slightly higher, but I don’t have numbers on white collar vs blue collar numbers.

  2. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone as not only is the number of foreigners increasing, but foreigners are brought in specifically to do the “3K” jobs (汚い、危険、きつい).

  3. Goal to have “half of workplaces providing accident-prevention training”
Is there no Japanese version of OSHA?

  4. Those are the KKK jobs (汚い、危険、気持ち悪い). A lot of them barely understand Japanese; no surprise they don’t get instructions and end up getting injured.. Sad, lack of communication skills are showing.
