Just went to hello work and was booked an interview for a part time teaching position 2000 yen per hour for part time (only 2-3 days 4 hours a day) which I didn’t think was so bad.. at a Juku btw…
They were trying to convince me to work full time but most full time jobs I am seeing are 200,000 ~ 280,000 AT MOST for 40+ hr weeks…I was making that 10+ years ago… I am just looking for a part time position to supplement my other job but made me think… how bad is the job market for English teachers now … how much are you getting paid? If I may ask?
I was also scoffed at when I said I wanted something that paid similarly to my old job (360,000 ~ at a private school)… they told me at most I would make 200,000~ and maybe part time is best since I had another job…
How is everyone doing applying for jobs and the job market?
