Recently one of my Japanese friends has been bringing me along on fishing trips. We have been fishing from the shore and mostly catching Spanish makrill and Makrill. It has been a lot of fun and it has re-awakened my love for fishing, making me want to buy a rod and reel for myself. However my friend tells me I shouldn't bother since he says shore fishing it pointless if it is not during fall. And fishing dries up during the rest of the year. I'm find this somewhat hard to believe and I'm finding mixed information online. So, I wanted to see if there are any fishing enjoyers here with any advice or knowledge.
