Questions about CoE application for working in Japan, would appreciate any advice

Hi everyone, I am a 24-year-old female planning to move to Tokyo for work, and I have a company willing to sponsor me and apply for my Certificate of Eligibility. The company has about 110 employees, and the position falls under the Engineer or Specialist in Humanities or International Services category.

I am trying to understand the CoE application process more clearly, so I would love some insight from people who have been through it. I have a few questions:

  1. Do I need to translate all of my documents into Japanese, and which documents do I actually need to submit?
    I am unsure if I should provide things like my resume, diploma, and employment contract for the new company, as well as previous job contracts. Do these all need to be translated before I send them to my employer, or is this usually handled on their side?

  2. How detailed does the work history need to be, and do they verify past employers?
    I included jobs from about four years ago, but one of them was a high school job where I do not have a formal contract. I only have a recommendation letter. Is it okay to list it on my resume, or will Immigration expect official proof?
    Also, do they ever check or call past employers for verification? My most recent job was fully remote and does not have a single office or phone number, and they can only be reached by email. Is it still fine to list them as my last employer?

  3. Did Immigration ever ask you for extra documents?
    If you have gone through the CoE process, what kind of additional information or paperwork did they request, if any?
