8. Cops need to detain every tout and look at their paperwork. If any irregularities are discovered, deported. I had such a bad time avoiding them last time I went there. 30+ times an evening with the “Hey my brother…”

9. If you defend yourself and the police come it’s just 2 gaijins fighting and you probably both get treated the same. That is what I don’t like about Japan lately with this and butsukari ojisan / obasan.

14. Yungjamez, the guy who recently blew up for getting smacked in the head by this guy on video, is putting together a compilation video of tout experiences since the police won’t do anything. You should DM him your story on insta to be included.

16. Everyone thinks Japanese police are helpful until it comes to the touts. Then the police will tell you to leave instead of getting the violent person under control.

27. Actually had a run in with this guy last weekend. My buddy was being sarcastic with him telling him to give him money. Guy started swearing at my buddy, but never hit him. Still. Annoying interaction. They’re relentless.

31. Back in April, I went to Japan and visited Shinjuku. My least favorite place to visit due all the sus ass people there. We know these guys are scammers rolling around in groups of 4-10 at every other corner.

34. Jaja literally same dude about three weeks ago was super insistent trying to get us to go into a bar or something like that! Said no couple of times and he got mad and started cursing😂. F him POS!

38. I saw a couple of tourists (my fellow countrymen) talking to one of them, showing interest and about to get scammed. Having heard all the horror stories, I kind of whispered to one of them as I walked by that it was a scam and to keep walking. The tout got angry, started shouting/cursing and following me then shoved me in the back.

39. Since Japan’s new PM Sanae Takaichi is big on strict immigration policies, she should start making moves on deporting these touters. There’s no room for these type of people in Japan.
