hello, if im only focused on speaking and conversing as fast as possible, without trying to aim any examination or level, in about 7~8 months, is it okay to skip kanji? i have around 3-4hrs per day. i'm planning it to be:
- grammar 20% (learning particles, sentence patterns, casual/polite, buying bunpro)
- vocabs 20% (anki deck from immersion, apps, most common vocabs in day to day, etc.)
- immersion 50% (watching netflix, writing notes/searching meaning from furigana subtitles, zero english)
- speaking 10% (just mocking and pronunciations)
maybe 1-3 kanji per day is maximum? but really wanna skip it like study it separately and stress over it. i can already read hiragana katakana and know hito and nani for my first 2 kanji. 😂
practicality wise, will i be able to speak in 7-8 months starting now? thank you!
background: i've been to japan for a few times from weeks to months, but have trouble in stores or groceries if they ask questions i dont know what to say. because i wasnt studying back then, i only got the time now to focus.
any tips are greatly appreciated, i swear.
