Seeking Feedback on 10 Day Japan Trip- focus on hiking around Tokyo

Hi all, could I please get some feedback on the following itinerary? We are a couple in our 40s and traveling between 22nd of March to 3rd of April 2026, flying into Tokyo. This is our 2nd trip and has done all the touristy stuff. Wanting to experience more nature and focus on hiking but still having the opportunity to see some cherry blossom along the way. Much appreciated.
Day 1 : Arrival / light walk
Arrive at Haneda or Narita → Tachikawa train – Light exploration: Showa Kinen Park/Tamagawa Josui Greenway for cherry blossom stroll
Stay in Tachikawa

Day 2: Mt Takao
Trail 6: Forest path for quieter experience
– Optional: Monkey park or Yakuoin Temple visit – Cable car to save energy
Stay in Tachikawa

Day 3 : Mt Jinba → Mt Takao Ridge
– Start early: Bus from Takao Station to Jinba Kogenshita – Ridge hike: Mt Jinba → Mt Takao – Take return bus from Takao Station

Day 4: Recovery / explore city cherry blossom ,
Maybe go into Tokyo?

Day 5: Mt Mitake
Train to Ōme → Mitake Station → Mitakesan → Mt Hinode → return – Optional evening cherry blossom walk along Ōme Riverside

Day 6 Okutama lake / short trails
Okutama Dam Walk • Floating Bridge / Drum Bridge Walk • Mukashi Michi (Old Road Trail) short section
Stay in Okutama

Day 7 Mt Nokogiri
Main Trail: Ropeway top → Nihon-ji Daibutsu → Hell Valley → Ropeway descent OR Coastal Ridge Loop: Ropeway top → Ridge → Sawtooth Ridge → return , can we do both cover sawtooth ridge and Nihon Ji?
