Hi guys,
Quick background, I am in my mid 20's with work experience in some different fields, I went into technical trades early on and swapped to IT Project Management where I am now, and will be finishing my Bachelors within 2026. Born in Canada with family in Japan, I have gone back every year since I was born. My language ability is maybe around N2-N3 if i had to quantify it, but it is very casual as pretty much the only people I talk to in Japanese is friends and family. Usage of professional Japanese is something I would need to learn and get used to.
Visa is not a problem, but I want to get some insight from others on how things went when you decided to move. I am somewhat worried about job prospects given my childish language ability, and how my job experiences match to Japan's needs. I want to build a career that my family and I would be proud of.
If anyone has any insight or advice, I would love to hear it.
