Hi everyone,
I’m a high school student , and I’m planning to apply to Japanese universities for an undergraduate degree (specifically Informatics / Computer Science).
I’ve heard that some international students receive conditional admission, then complete a 1-year Japanese language preparatory course before entering the degree program.
My questions are:
- Do national universities like Nagoya, Osaka, or Kyoto University actually offer conditional admission for students who plan to study Japanese first?
- What is the correct application route for this?
- Is JLPT required at the time of application, or only after finishing the language program?
- If anyone has gone through this pathway, I would love to hear about your experience.
Thanks in advance!
