Hi, I am new to Japan. I started my master’s program this October. Fortunately, I have made some Japanese friends at my university. I had planned to visit Osaka or Kyoto with one of my friends during the New Year vacation, but because of my budget and other reasons, we had to cancel it. Now my friend has invited me to his parents’ house, which is quite far from my university. I’m confused about what gift to bring to their home, especially because I’m on a budget.
