I just opened an account with Interactive Brokers Japan, but I have concerns about their competency.
I got an email with a link asking me for information that was already on the initial application. Clicking on the link took me to a page saying I would be redirected shortly and was not. Tried multiple browsers. Site appears broken.
Many other errors on the site "could not load x, contact customer support".
Getting multiple conflicting emails – account is in review, account is approved, please fund your account, account is in review (again) and you cannot fund the account until it is approved, please fund account …
etc.
A support ticket was answered with AI slop. Sent it again asking for an answer but very concerned about their competency to handle my life's savings.
Anyone else? Is this only a Japan issue?
