Does anyone use Taobao in Japan and received extra charges after ordering?

Hi everyone, just wondering how people’s recent experiences with Taobao have been if you’re buying from Japan.

I ordered one item a while back and it arrived with no issues, so I came back to the platform to order some Christmas gifts recently. I paid for shipping at checkout like usual.

But after about a week, I got another bill for ¥3000, which is actually more than my original order cost. The translation says it's for shipping and I read somewhere that you do indeed have to pay for shipping twice

So if this is a standard, is there anyone here with experience that justifies such prices over AliExpress? Or maybe this is not normal, and I am being scammed by this platform
