I live in a fairly new Mansion and I do love the quiet. I sleep with earplugs and have a fan running all the time. However, these did not keep me from being woken up by construction machinery right behind my balcony (4th floor). There's this high pitched noise from the machine they use that gives me a horrible headache when awake and wakes me up when sleeping.
Does anyone have recommendations for noice canceling devices that block that high pitched noise that's available in Japan? It can be over ear, ear buds, or a machine i can put on the floor. It needs to last a long time for sleeping and day use (or maybe 2 devices if one doesn't cover my needs).
I know construction of these houses don't take too long in the grand scheme but I need to write during the day (and sleep in the early mornings) and cannot do that effectively with the highest pitched noise that my earplugs don't block.
Thanks!
