Hi everyone, I recently graduated from university and I’m considering continuing my studies abroad. Japan is one of my top options, especially because of the MEXT scholarship.
I wanted to ask people who live or work in Japan (students, engineers, researchers) what are the main challenges in the Computer Science / IT field right now? How strong is the demand for CS skills, and what areas seem most needed?
I’m curious about anything relevant. Work culture, language barriers, research environment, big tech vs startups, AI/cybersecurity, or even day-to-day realities as a foreign student or worker.
Any insights or personal experiences would really help. Thanks!
