Work omiyage with banned preservative

My mom sent me a Christmas package and I asked for some individually wrapped treats from the US to distribute at work (so I guess not technically omiyage? Idk). She sent me Rice Krispie Treats. I decided to Google if you could get them here because I thought that might be embarrassing to bring an "American treat" that is widely accessible.

I found a bunch of health nut influencers talking about how Japan banned BHT because it might be carcinogenic and Rice Krispie Treats contain it. This was within the last few years. Personally, I do not care and couldn't find a lot of information from unbiased sources about this ban (my Japanese is poor).

Since this is a more recent thing, I don't want my coworkers to think I'm trying to give them cancer. I'm not asking about the legality of me having. Just whether or not this would spark fear in my coworkers. Does anyone here have experience with something similar? Anyone aware of this ban? Am I overthinking? Should I avoid a potential faux pas and keep them all to myself?

EDIT:
Thanks, everyone I will be handing them out. Also, wasn't asking if they cause cancer (I know they do not), I was asking for the public perspective in Japan but it seems like a non-issue.
