PR Application Question

Hello,

I am trying to gather documents to submit my PR application and I have a few questions if anyone is kind enough to clarify the info for me.

In the website, it is stated the following:

(1) Documents proving your recent (past two years) public pension insurance premium payment status

  • * For documents that contain your basic pension number, please make sure to black out the relevant number or otherwise make it impossible to restore the basic pension number before submitting it.
  • *If you are enrolled in a pension plan other than the National Pension (such as Employees' Pension Insurance), please submit the documents listed in A or B below.
  • *If you have been enrolled in the National Pension System in the last two years, please submit document C in addition to documents A or B.
  • *If you have been enrolled in the National Pension System continuously for the entire last two years, please submit the documents in item C. If it is difficult to submit the documents in item C for the last two years (24 months), please submit a statement explaining the reason and the documents in item A or B.

A. "Pension Regular Mail" (displaying pension record information for the entire period)

  • *If you have received an envelope containing your pension regular mail from the Japan Pension Service (your birth month of 35th, 45th, or 59th birthday), please submit all of the documents listed in the box in the "Pension Regular Mail (please be sure to check)" column in the Table of Contents.
  • *Please note that there is also a postcard-style pension newsletter sent out every year, but it cannot be used as a submission document as it does not cover all periods.
  • *You can apply for the "Pension Regular Mail" (which displays pension record information for the entire period) by contacting the Japan Pension Service at the following contact point. When applying, please state that you would like to receive the "full period (envelope)" (it takes about two months from application to issuance). [Contact phone number] Pension Regular Mail/Pension Net dedicated number: 0570-058-555 (Navi Dial) If calling from a phone number beginning with 050: 03-6700-1144

(i) Print screen of "Pension record for each month" on Nenkin Net

  • *Please note that "Nenkin Net" is only available in Japanese and does not support foreign languages.
  • * You can register for Nenkin Net from The website of the Japan Pension Service . Please note that the registration process may take up to five business days.
  • *If you have been a National Pension insured person for any period within the last two years at the time of application, please also submit a printout of your "National Pension Record (Monthly Payment Status)" found in the "Monthly Pension Record."

My question is related to applying for "Pension Regular Mail". It seems troublesome and will take a few months to process but there is a note below talking about using Nenkin Net.

Does this mean using Nenkin Net could be used to fulfill this requirement? I requested an access code already but I need to wait for it to arrive via mail before I can create an account so I am not sure what I will be able to see there so I just want to make sure I understand this correctly.

TIA

Also…. I am in a bit of a weird situation. I am applying to PR as a spouse of a Japanese national. We have 2 kids together and have been married for 3 years. Things kind of happened in the past month and long story short… I am living separately from my spouse but have not changed my address on anything and we agreed to keep the house we had shared as the main address.

Obviously this isn't great for immigration purposes but he is willing to help me with the application as much as he can. We are still legally married and we are still working on our marriage but living apart (although very close, same neighborhood).

I am a bit scared about immigration asking around the neighborhood or other people about the status of our relationship. Am I being too paranoid or is this a possibility?

I am still my husband's dependent along with the children and we see each other every day.

I am also wondering if they can truly deny me PR even if my children are Japanese. I mean, if I am not allowed to be here then I would take my children with me… can the Japanese government really force me to do that?
