My wife and I have been living in Japan for 8 months, and I would say about 30% of our dinners have been at a local restaurant in Kyoto. We have become friendly with the owner (even though our Japanese isn’t great and neither is his English), and last night he gave us a gift of these cloths. Nothing too extravagant, but very kind of him. We wanted to get him something in return. I was thinking a bottle of scotch? Any thoughts or suggestions would be very helpful.
