  1. Tokyo ranked 2nd in the Global City Attractiveness Ranking, with London taking the top spot.

I’ve heard that London has been facing a lot of social strain recently due to large-scale immigration. Is that actually true? Or does that diversity itself make London more attractive as a global city?

  2. This ranking / study was created and paid for by the Japanese real estate conglomerate who brought you, Roppongi and Toranomon Hills.

Don’t get too worked up about if 🤣

  3. NYC not falling out of the top 5 doesn’t make sense to me. Cost of living has sky rocketed — my building tried increasing the rent by 10% earlier this summer (we had to negotiate it to a 3.4% raise instead). Cost of the subway will have risen nearly 9% by next month since 2020. Getting a latte costs $6-$7 including tip.

    It’s fucking unsustainable

  4. London and NYC to me is crazy to be on the list. Having lived both and Tokyo there’s no way you could pay me to live in either.

  5. It’s definitely NOT a bullshit Japanese institution ranking, they didn’t even include Paris! Among with Igirisu! Oh wait.
