wondering if u tried to buy an iqos device (like an iluma) at a convenience store like 7-11 in japan do they ask for id? i heard for the sticks and normal cigs they usually dont but it can get more strict with the actual device.

why would it matter? just show id if asked?
when I worked in family mart/ Seven eleven, we just had to ask for ID if the customer looked young. this applied to alcohol/ cigarettes/ all the electric cigarettes too.
I’ve asked customers to show ID many times because I thought they were under 20 but almost all of them was 20+ just looked young 😅.
