Setting up a security camera in front of my door

I moved to a wooden apartment in a rural area.

There is a car park right in front of my apartment, and every morning when I open my door, I see plastic bags, empty bento boxes, PET bottles.

I am sick of clearing the rubbish right in front of my door, and I want to know which dude is doing the littering.

May I know if there's any thing I should be aware of when setting up a security camera?

Like I cannot point to the car park, or I need to put up a sign?
