Hello!
Last year i was randomly in den den town in may. As I got off the train and walked a bit I saw cosplayers everywhere. Im like hold on whats this??? Turns out its a yearly street cosplay street festival. I was so annoyed that I didnt have anything with me t wear and I told myself when I goto osaka next I will bring something with me
In my country its no abnormal to wear your cosplay from the moment you leave the house, On public transport and to the event you are going to.
Im not sure if this is case for cosplay events in japan.
For reference the cosplay im planning to bring with me is a Morpsuit and a colossal titan Mask. Nothing bulky or over the top and it can fit in a backpack.
I love seeing people's reactions and making them laugh when they see some crazy guy with mask taking the train and much as I would love the attention of wearing this in public transport, im not sure if it would be disrepectfull. Would it be better to just get changed closer to the street festival?
Any other general tips would be great
Thanks!

I don’t think normal people will even notice you or care what you do.
If you’re minding your own business nobody will care. If you’re going out of your way like “some crazy guy” for laughs on the train I think that will not go over well.
