WhILE not NJPW specific, who here has gone to Kawada’s Men Jarras K restaurant in Tokyo?
Is he approachable/does he do pictures with fans if you eat there? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Have not been, but have heard accounts which might be helpful.
I have heard he won’t want to engage with you if you’re just there to be a fan and see him. He’s running a business and doesn’t have time for all that, especially if you’re annoying about it or being a nuisance to his other customers.
But if you get there and be a genuine customer, order your food, eat, and politely ask him for a photo afterwards, he’ll be more than happy to do so.
He only does pictures if you purchase a merchandise after eating the ramen.
He’s grouchy from what I’ve heard from others. I’ve been on multiple trips to Japan, and never been. Maybe this trip is the one.
If you’re going to go, I’ve heard he’s a lot more approachable if you know how many bowls of ramen you and potentially your group would like to order. I’ve also heard that he won’t take a photo with fans unless they buy a t-shirt.
What everyone else said is pretty much right. I went in 2018 and the machine you ordered from was in Japanese (this was before Google translate could do much with photos). We stared at it for a bit and it sounded like the regulars and Kawada were joking about us. One of them came over and helped thankfully. Food was pretty good, Kawada was not particularly cheery but he was talking with the regulars. I bought a shirt and then he was fine with taking a pic. I doubt you’ll be blown away by his kindness but it was still pretty cool.
