Going from dispatch ALT to private school ALT

Hi, guys!

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I was wondering if there are any other people who have had this experience.

I am currently working as a dispatch ALT and I found a job as an ALT at a private school starting April of 2026.

How do I handle this transition with my current dispatch employer? They're currently renewing my visa, and after that I will have an instructor visa until 2027.

I understand that when I transition from the dispatch to the school, I'll have to change my residency status since new employer and all.

If anyone had this experience, can you please tell me what you guys did when handling this, since changing my visa status seems like a complicated and time sensitive issue.

P.S. my current dispatch contract runes until the end of March if that matters.
