Where to stay (North, Central, or South)?

Hi everyone. Is July a good time to visit Okinawa for 1 week? And where would you recommend to stay? I like nature, beaches, culture, history, and delicious food.

Is Tokashiki island worth a visit as a day trip?

I heard July can be "too hot"… But I like tropical whether and find that hard to believe.
