Our lease is a 2 year contract with a real estate firm in Osaka, and I was wondering, when those 2 years wrap up, what or extension options will look like.
I just read that it is often the case for things to shift to a month-to-month type deal, which would be my preference, but I've also read that many default to you being expected to move out by the end unless you renew for another fixed term.
Given my stated preference, is that a reasonable thing to expect? Should it be brought up with the landlord the sooner the better? Thanks
